Dance your PhD, TEDxBrussels: John Bohannon & Black Label Movement
Material. (Definition):
Real. Substantial. Textile. Matter. Information. Materials. Important.
Material was chosen because of its numerous meanings which all in their own way pertain to human activity. Human activity is and arises from creativity.
Often creativity and scholarly work are seen as two distinct and separate fields. However, creativity as a way of thinking, researching and working in many subjects is becoming more and more recognised and explored.
"Creativity is built on interconnections of ideas, experiences and imagination. Whether in the physics lab, the artist’s studio, the mechanics garage, or in figuring out how to make a small paycheck last until the end of the month, creativity is everywhere in the human experience, we are creative every day. But we do not accomplish this miraculous feat alone."*
Applying creativity to scholarly or traditionally non-creative work is something we all do,more or less consciously, but is it possible to knowingly harness a process?
